Seven Arrested after Incident Involving African-American Woman

A group of white men threatened to kill an African-American woman in Richardson, TX.

A skinhead who testified for the prosecution in the civil rights trial of five fellow white supremacists was arrested on suspicion of threatening to kill an African-American woman at the 900 Block of Allegheny Dr, Richardson, TX. Richardson Police arrested Michael Thornton and six others Tuesday night, March 2, 1990, in Richardson.

An official of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, which monitors hate groups, claimed that these seven were members of a skinhead organization called the CONFEDERATE WHITE VIKINGS.

Thornton was charged with misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief, assault, and public intoxication. The incident occurred Tuesday night about 10:00 PM. He broke the windshield of a 34-year-old African-American woman in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Richardson. After hearing the noise of the breaking windshield, the woman came outside to see what was going on and was confronted by Thornton. Thornton called her various racial slurs and threatened to kill her.

In addition to this incident, Thornton committed other crimes and was on parole during this incident.
